I bet 85%, at least 70% of people would do this: view PDF with Adobe Reader and view PowerPoint with Microsoft Office PowerPoint. Maybe my data is not that accurate, but at it indicates people are inclined to choose certain software for one purpose. But, have you imagined that what if you don't have the corresponding viewer on your computer to read a PDF document or a PowerPoint Presentation?

Here's the answer: turn to Google for help. I'm not saying that you search Google and find the right viewer. You don't necessarily download both. To install Adobe Reader and Microsoft Office takes time and not both are free.

Still one thing to mention, sometimes we need to make conversions between the two. That is to say, to create PDF from PPT or to convert PDF to PPT. For the former, you can use the free Add-in%u2014Microsoft Save as PDF or XPS. For the latter, you can use some third-party converter like AnyBizSoft PDF to PowerPoint Converter. Don't belittle the conversions. You may find it useful in many situations. For example, teachers may want to store their PPT presentations to PDF documents. However, when they want to reuse others' PPT-based PDF, they can also convert PDF to PPT.

5 tips for using Microsoft PowerPoint 2010

Will you be nervous about presenting a PowerPoint slide show? Relax, take deep breaths and rehearse with your presentation beforehand. You can rehearse and record slide timing for a PowerPoint that can practically run the show on its own.
In PowerPoint 2003, open the presentation for which you want to rehearse and set timings. Go to the Slide Show menu and click on Rehearse Timings. This starts the presentation in rehearsal mode. Practice your lecture as you want it to go along with each slide. When you are ready to go to the next slide, click the Advance button. Continue to do so for the entire presentation.
